EDIBLE SHORES — COASTAL FORAGING & DINING
Discover the flavours of the ocean with Edible Shores in Pringle Bay, Western Cape. Guided by Carmen Burls, this five-hour experience brings together coastal foraging, thoughtful food preparation and the pleasure of sharing a meal.
Explore rock pools and kelp-lined shores, discovering edible seaweeds, mussels and other coastal treasures while learning to harvest responsibly and respect marine life.
Then return to the Edible Shores Kitchen to prepare and enjoy the day’s harvest, accompanied by stories, laughter and Carmen’s lifelong passion for the sea.
Join Carmen between September and April for a taste of the coast, with each outing timed to the tides.
Families are welcome. Children under five join free, while children under ten enjoy a reduced rate. A mollusc harvesting permit is required, and Carmen can advise you when booking.
