June 22, 2026 1:21 pmBeautiful venue. Spacious seating arrangements. Food is fantastic with attention to detail. Unusual flavours which makes the experience so much more unforgettable. Staff very friendly and the manager is on the floor the whole time making sure all his guests are asking care of.

June 4, 2026 11:34 amI had the pleasure of visiting Kostelijk, one of the newest restaurant destinations nestled on the beautiful Bona Dea Estate in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, and what an incredible experience it was.
From the moment you arrive, the breathtaking views capture your attention. The setting is peaceful, elegant and unlike anything else currently on offer in Hermanus. It truly feels like a hidden gem surrounded by nature.
The food was exceptional — beautifully presented, packed with flavour, generous in portion size and surprisingly affordable. The menu is creative and exciting while still offering excellent value for locals and visitors alike.
Open seven days a week for breakfast and lunch, Kostelijk is the perfect spot for anything from a relaxed coffee to a special meal with friends and family.
What makes this destination even more exciting is what lies ahead. Plans include picnic experiences on the lawns, gourmet food baskets paired with local wines, movie nights under the stars and a dedicated play area for children — creating a space where everyone can relax and enjoy the surroundings.
